The Lighthouse – Beacon of Hope

Let Your Light Shine

Being an Island, Ireland has many breathtaking lighthouses. Howth is home to two lighthouses of the seventy that are around the coast of Ireland. Not categorised as one of the twelve Great Lighthouses, The Baily Lighthouse, is iconic just the same.

Description

Beacon of Hope Scarf by Siobhan McKenna.

In turbulent times the lighthouse is a reminder of hope. Its light reaches out on the darkest of nights and the roughest of storms. The peninsula that the Baily hails from extends out like an arm outstretched guiding the ships home.

A peninsula on a peninsula, on an island.

Each lighthouse is solitary yet connected in protecting our coasts. The symbolism is even though we are each alone, we are also connected. I chose vibrant pinks and blues for this scarf to reflect the spirit of hope, lightness and fun. A reminder that even if we feel alone or that the darkness will never lift, there is a beacon of hope reaching out to guide us home. This scarf makes for the perfect gift for a loved one or just for you.
